CARL PHILIPP EMANUEL BACH Trio Sonatas Wq. 154-56, 158 London Baroque, Charles Medlam
1h02

HMA1951511
C. P. E. Bach was particularly attached to the trio sonata, to which he devoted some of his finest works. The fluidity of his style, representative of the assimilation of the genre in the twilight of the Baroque period, is emblematic of the ‘sensibility’ of a new musical era, that of the Enlightenment and the birth of Classicism in the shape of a new public eager for intimate atmospheres.
This title was released for the first time in 1994.
