The works of Debussy for two pianos or piano four hands, which are brought together here, run right through his career: first a youthful piece, the Petite Suite, 'which humbly seeks nothing but to give pleasure'; then the Six Épigraphes antiques, which accompanied a stage presentation of the fancifully orientalist poems of his friend Pierre Louÿs; and finally En blanc et en noir, a late-period masterpiece dating from 1915, which bears the scars of the Great War.

This title was released for the first time in 1973.
